Job: Professor Color, Material & Finish

The following professorship is to be filled in the Faculty of Textile & Design for the winter semester 2022/2023 or later: W 2 – Professorship Color, Material & Finish.

They are looking for an outstanding creative personality with a focus on Color, Material & Finish in the Transportation Interior Design course who is enthusiastic about both materials and teaching. You are a CMF specialist with extensive international industry experience. In the Transportation Interior Design Team, you will develop sustainable mobility concepts together with your colleagues and students.

In addition to excellent knowledge of the practical and theoretical basics of the design, draft and communication processes in CMF design and its digital and analogue implementation, you have extensive experience with the current tools, programs and developments in transportation interior design. You will feel at home in interdisciplinary teams.

In close coordination with the concept and 3D design department, you will be responsible for the CMF department, including trend and material research, and there you will be the interface to digital visualization and the technical basics of the materials.

A cooperation with the other courses and focal points of the faculty is desirable. Gender, diversity and sustainability are natural topics for you.

They expect you to be able to communicate confidently in German and English on technical topics.
